Kerosene vapor phase drying equipment (KVPD) is mainly used for110kVDrying of internal components of EHV transformers and reactors above. Its basic principle is to vaporize liquid kerosene by heating.

Description

In this process, the high-temperature kerosene vapor enters the vacuum tank and adheres to the workpiece, and the latent heat of condensation is released after condensation (approx.306.6Kilojoule/Kg) to heat the workpiece. The condensed kerosene is then collected and sent back to the vaporizer for further heating. In this way, the workpiece is continuously heated and the water evaporates. The water vapor is discharged under vacuum conditions to finally ensure that the workpiece is completely dry. This innovative drying method enables efficient and thorough drying of EHV transformer and reactor bodies.

Process characteristics

1.Kerosene steam is used as heating medium to provide convection heat and release heat through condensation to ensure uniform workpiece temperature.

2.The condensed kerosene covers the surface of the workpiece, which promotes effective heat exchange and improves thermal efficiency.

3.Compared with water, kerosene has a low saturation pressure, so it can be evaporated quickly under high vacuum conditions without affecting the diffusion coefficient of water.

4.Vacuum heating prevents the insulation from aging and accelerates the evaporation of water due to the increased partial pressure of water vapor.

5.Condensed kerosene penetrates into the workpiece to enhance thermal conductivity and promote deep temperature uniformity.
